FAQs

How do I book/when do i pay?

Please fill out the contact form and I will get back to you within 48 hours. When we have finalised a date I will send you an invoice for a 25% deposit to hold the booking, You will be invoiced for the remaining 75% after our shoot and payment will be due prior to delivery of the final images.

When is the best time for photos?

Ideally for outdoor sessions, if we can shoot late afternoon in that couple of hours before sunset we will have some pretty light to work with. However I shoot at all times of day and there are always ways to capture beautiful images in almost any situation. Bookings available 7 days a week.

What if the weather is bad or someone is sick?

With the weather it’s up to you. My gear is weather resistant and I grew up in Scotland so I hadn’t seen much good weather until I was in my twenties! Jokes aside, I am happy to reschedule if bad weather effects our outdoor session. If someone is sick. same deal, we will find another suitable date for our shoot.

What should we wear?

I think keep it true to whoever you are. You want to be comfortable on the day and when you look at the photos in years to come they should represent your family as they really are. Personal tastes, I would suggest avoiding big logos or thin stripes or crazy patterns on things and keep it somewhat cohesive from person to person. Happy to discuss this with you prior to our shoot.

What if we go over time?

No problem at all, these are just a guide to how long standard sessions usually take. An extra 30 minutes can be needed to get the shots we need and no extra charges will apply. If we add another loaction on the day and 1 - 2 extra hours are needed, we will work out an appropriate additional fee.

Can extended family come along to the shoot?

Absolutely, you can bring grandparents along to the session to get a few nice photos too at no extra charge whilst there is a professional photographer around. However, if you want another family and kids to join us. there will be an additional fee.

Is it better to book an outdoor session or shoot at home?

That really depends on your family, the time of year and your hopes from the shoot. If your house doesn’t have suitable space or doesn’t have good natural light maybe outdoors would be best but we can always work something out.

How many images should we expect?

There are guides for each session based on previous shoots. Every session is different and therefore the number of final images will vary slightly. I will provide as many images as possible from your shoot.
